In November, I attended the Yokohama Quilt Festival, which was held at the Pacifico Yokohama Convention Hall, and organized by the Japan Quilt Society. The show included over 150 artistic, colorful works, mostly created by quilt artists from Japan as well as a few from other countries. Many of the quilts were entirely pieced and quilted by hand! In addition to the gallery, there were about 100 vendors offering every kind of fabric, threads tools, kits, machines, battings, trinkets and other wares of interest to sewers.
Unfortunately, I was not able to capture titles and artists’ names for all of the quilts that caught my eye, but here are just a few of the wide variety of masterful quilts that were on display.
