Bittersweet is a vine that grows all over the northeastern US, winding around and hanging from shrubs and trees.  In the fall, the seed pods open to expose pretty orange “berries.”  This quilt, which magnifies the unique structure of the opened seed pods, celebrates the beauty, rather than the menace, of this invasive plant.
