Blossom Time

I made this improvisational quilt to challenge myself to use fabrics in my stash that I considered ugly, to try to make them into something more visually appealing.  I began by cutting randomly with my rotary cutter, and sewing two pieces together.  The quilt evolved from there.  The “blossoms” are made by folding raw edged strips of fabric and stitching on top of them to create the appearance of petals.
